5 Fun New Year’s Eve Ideas For Those Staying Home
It’s time to ring in the new year and for some of us that means it’s time to celebrate! I have always loved going out and celebrating with a big group of friends and family and still do. I also love to stay home in my pajamas or just being in the comfort of my own home. Which is why I’m sharing 5 fun New Year’s Eve ideas for those staying home with you in today’s post.
This year I will be doing just that. I am staying home and I am beyond excited! If you are an introvert, you probably are excited the holiday season is coming to an end. You’ve made it through the busiest time of year!
5 New Year’s Eve Ideas For Those Staying Home
Let The Games Begin:
I absolutely love game nights! This is such a good way of having a more relaxed and fun New Year’s Eve. Invite over your closest friends for a night of board or card games and pizza! If you are feeling adventurous, make homemade pizza instead of take out or frozen. You can even make a pizza bar with many different varieties of toppings.
Spa Night:
Call over you best friends for a girl’s night! Face masks, manicures, pedicures and deep treatments. Before the girls arrive, you can create a fruit, crackers, and cheese board with fruit and herb infused water. While you are at it, save some of the cucumbers for the spa later. For extra fun pull out your wine glasses and have one of your friends bring some sparkling water. Oh, and don’t forget to have them bring their robes and comfy clothes!
Disney Movie Marathon:
As you all already know I am a big Disney fan! What a fun way to end the year watching your favorite Disney classics. This one you can do either solo or with your bestie or even a small group of close friends or family. Pop the popcorn and lay out all your comfy pillows and blankets. You could even tie in the game night by playing Disney Trivia! Have a magical night.
Night Yoga:
Why not start your new “New Year Resolution” the night before! Talk about true motivation. With technology now and apps, you can set up a “At Home Yoga Workout” or if you are already a yoga guru, then you’re set. Light some candles and have your water bottle handy.
Unwind Or Organize:
One of the many ways I unwind is to start a devotional. I’ve been on such a kick lately on devotionals, that I ordered some new ones again. But this is a great way to refresh your mind and focus on God. To focus on what God has already done for you this year and what He has in store for you in 2019. Another thing you can do is start organizing your 2019 year planner. There is nothing like feeling on top of things and being organized.
I hope these ideas inspire you and help you have a fabulous New Year’s Eve!

We stay home every year for NYE, so this year won’t be very different for us. We actually do some of the things you listed.

We are totally planning on a disney movie marathon!
That is the best idea! Who doesn’t love Disney movies?!?!
We stay in every year, even without a global pandemic. We cook lobster and steak, watch movies, and typically fall asleep before the ball drops. HA!
Wow! I love that you make lobster and steak! So fun.
These are such great ideas! i love playing games anyway so perfect for NYE!
Thank you Chloë! Agreed! Games are so much fun.
