How to make a DIY Mason Jar Snow Globe:

Step one: Rinse your trees. Otherwise you will most likely end up with a few unwanted particles floating around in your globe.

Step two: Glue two miniature trees onto the lid of your mason jar. Try partnering two different sized trees together. I picked my trees up at Michael’s. Let the glue dry overnight.

Step three: Add about a teaspoon of glycerin and your glitter to the jar.

Step four: Fill the jar with water almost up to the top, but not quite to allow room for your trees.

Note: I tried making a snow globe without the glycerin. It made it much murkier than the one that I used glycerin in. So if you’re tempted to skip the glycerin I would advise you not to.

Step five: Screw your lid on tightly. I decided not to glue mine so that I would be able to change out the water and glitter later on if needed.

Step six: Shake, shake, shake and enjoy!

I also made a jar with glitter, but no water. The best part about making your own DIY project is that you can experiment and try out different ideas. So don’t forget to have fun and add your own flair!

I hope you give this fun DIY Mason Jar Snow Globe tutorial a try and be sure to tell me all about in the comments below! Have some great snow globe tips of your own? I’d love to hear them!

Happy DIYing and have a very Merry Christmas!
