When it comes to driving traffic to my blog Pinterest is my best friend! But keeping up with Pinterest these days can be a challenge. Being able to create multiple Pinterest pins in minutes is key.

If you’ve been on Pinterest for a while you remember the easy days of repinning the same pin over and over. Which meant being rewarded with lots of traffic for little effort.

Now it seems the opposite is true! You pin a million pins in the hope of a little traffic.

Heads up: If you didn’t already get the memo, Pinterest wants FRESH pins now.

That’s where having a collection of tried and true Pinterest Pin Templates is not only a major time saver, it’s a game changer.

In this post I’m going to outline easy steps to using a Canva template to create thousands of unique pins.

If you don’t want to spend time creating a template in Canva, you can grab my Modern Pinterest Pins Template!

How to create multiple Pinterest pins in minutes

By using a template and making four key changes you can create an unlimited number of new pins for Pinterest in just minutes.

All you have to do is change color, images, fonts and text to a template to create new looks.

This saves me so much time and effort because the design of the pin is already done. Each time I use my template I just make a few simple edits and I have new FRESH pins for Pinterest!

Batch create

Batching work in general is a huge time saver. When it comes to creating a bunch of pins quickly I start off with a template.

Whether you are creating pins for one post or a bunch of old posts by batch creating you can create a ton quickly.

Start with a template in Canva

Use a template in Canva, create your own from scratch, or purchase one. I’ve created a Canva template with 30 pins that I use over and over again to create my fresh pins from.

To create your own template in Canva, start with a blank a blank design sized at 1000×1500 px.

Here’s an example of an easy design to create:

  • Start with an image frame
  • Drop a photo into the frame
  • Add a shape on top of the image
  • Use a bold san serif font like Bebas Neue
  • Pair with a script font like Twister
  • Add another shape at the bottom
  • Include a small call to action text in a sans serif font
  • And your website at the bottom

Once you have a go to template you can quickly create tons of new pins from it. Below is an example of how this one template can easily be transformed into fresh pins. Each pin has a different background image, pop of color and title variation.

Create unique looks

Use a variation of colors, images, and fonts to create endless new looks from one template.

In the image above I created three unique pins from one template simply by changing the colors and background images.

The titles are the same, but the different background images and colors make them stand out from each other.

Use Stock Photos

Find tons of stock photos in Canva. If you have Canva Pro you’ll have thousands of great photos to choose from.

You can also grab images from a free stock photo site and import them into Canva.

I love beautiful images! I could sit for hours and look at stock photography sites admiring all the amazing photographers and the beautiful images they have created.

Use variations of your headline

In addition to changing your colors and background images you can also use a variation of your headline for each pin image your create.

You’ll notice in the middle image below I swapped the placement of the text and images for even more variation between the pins.

New pin from old posts

To create a ton of new pins for old blog posts you can simply change colors, images and headlines again and again.

Use Canva’s Resize Tool

If you have Canva Pro, you can magically resize your documents and images. Imagine designing one image size and then magically resizing it to any other sizes you want.

Once I’ve created a batch of pins I use the resize tool and create a new 1080×1920 px design for even more pins!

Schedule pins ahead

Best practice is to pin 1-2 fresh pins a day on Pinterest. But keeping up with pinning everyday can become tedious. Thankfully you can schedule pins up to two weeks out on Pinterest.

But what if you wanted to get a month’s worth of pinning done in a batch?

Believe it or not, I’m still using Tailwind! With Tailwind I can batch my pin scheduling months ahead. Saving me tons of time and getting the task off my daily to do list.

No matter how often I think I’ll be sure to add a few pins everyday it ends up slipping my mind! Once my pins are created I manually add a few, schedule out two weeks worth on Pinterest and another months worth in Tailwind.
