Fun End of Summer Bucket List

We are excited to share our end of summer bucket list with you all! Most of us have a late spring/early summer bucket list. But no one talks about the end of summer. If you think about it, the end summer sometimes gets left out. And we are about to change that! Time to make sure you have the best summer, filled with amazing memories, stories, and more.  I mean, who doesn’t want to make the most out of their summer?

Fun End of Summer Bucket List

Let me tell you, it was hard to narrow it down. Summer has so much to offer. With the longer days, warm weather, and more. Sometimes we plan so much for the first part of summer and then go back to work or other things come up and before we know it, summer is gone. Well don’t fear, you still have a lot summer left. Don’t let the retail market freak you out with all the “Back to School” sales. We still have 6 full weeks left of summer- Phew!

The thing I love about bucket lists or to-do lists is that, you don’t have go in any type of order. Everyday doesn’t have to be consumed and planned out to the max. You can do some on the weekend or after work one day. Take summer at ease with pops of joy and excitement. Do things you enjoy or learn something new.

We hope you all have the best summer yet! And we hope this list can help you really enjoy it! So here is 12 things we are trying to do during the end of summer. 🙂

Happily Dwell's 2018 End of Summer Bucket List

Take a roadtrip

Nothing says Summer like hopping in the car for an adventure on the road. For a real nostalgic vibe grab a map and plot your course.

Go to the State Fair

Wrap up your Summer with a visit to the State Fair. Of course you have to ride the ferris wheel. A trip to your local state fair wouldn’t be complete with it.

Host an end of Summer BBQ

Gather all your friends, fire up the grill and enjoy that perfect Summer weather. What would an end of Summer Bucket List be with out a party?

Get lost in nature

Go for a nature walk or hike. Enjoy the scenery, collect pine cones and wild flowers, and soak it all in.

Make yummy popsicles

Popsicles are the perfect Summer treat! Make your favorite recipe or try a new one. Either way there’s nothing like this classic Summer sweet.

Take a spontaneous trip to the beach

Lake or Ocean? There’s nothing like getting in the water and soaking up some sun! I absolutely love getting my feet in the sand. There’s nothing better. Don’t have a beach nearby? How about the pool or a water park? That lazy river is calling your name.

Go to the Farmer’s Market

Depending on where you love farmer’s market are seasonal or year round. But, if you aren’t visiting your local farmer’s market, you are missing out! Tons of fresh produce, that always tastes better than store bought, as well as amazing vendors selling specialty items like honey, baked breads, homemade soaps and candles, art and jewelry and products you just won’t find anywhere else.

Volunteer at your favorite organization

Give back to your community by volunteering at your favorite local non profit. From helping at a food bank, weeding a community garden, visiting someone in a nursing home or picking up trash there are tons of service opportunities to get involved in.

Update your home decor

Give your home decor a refresh as you head into Fall. Now’s the perfect time to pull out all those cozy throws and update colors.

Go camping under the stars

Get away or just set up a tent in the backyard. Roast hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire, make smore’s and gaze up at those brilliant stars.

Attend an outdoor concert

There’s something different about an outdoor concert isn’t there? Check your city and county websites for local happenings. Most cities host concerts in the park during the Summer. It’s a fun community event you won’t want to miss out on.

Give up Social Media for a week

Take a social media break! Summer is full of fun activities. Give your phone a break, get out and have fun!
