Secret Ingredient Easter Rice Krispies Treats

You’ll need these ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 package (10 oz., about 40) JET-PUFFED Marshmallows — OR — 4 cups JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows
  • 6 cups Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® cereal
  • AND the secret ingredient: 2 cups of white chocolate chips!

For Easter version you’ll also need

  • Food coloring
  • Easter or Spring cookie cutters

1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Add white chocolate chips and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.

To color Rice Krispie treats add food coloring a few drops at a time for desired color. For multiple colors make smaller batches in different pots and stir coloring in. You’ll need to do this before removing from heat so your mixture doesn’t cool too much before adding your Rice Krispies cereal.

2. Add KELLOGG’S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated.

3. Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool.

Flip Rice Krispies treats onto a sheet of parchment or wax paper and cut out shapes with cookie cutters.

Best if served the same day.
