The Most Instagrammable Street in LA

If you’re looking for some seriously sweet & totally instagrammable street art in LA: you need look no further than the famed Melrose Avenue. Not only is Melrose the most instagrammable street in LA it’s full of fun stuff to do.

When it comes to street art this is the street to hit up! Made famous from the popular T.V. show The Melrose Place, the Avenue is not only filled with hip shops and delicious cafes and restaurants, the walls are covered in murals and street art for blocks!

My friend and fashion blogger Debora, of Debora Dahl, and I love to hang out in LA and of course had to snap pics at a few of the most iconic walls on Melrose Avenue.

From Fairfax to Highland you’ll find a mile and a half of amazing street art, in an ever-changing landscape of murals. This open air gallery boast murals from famous street artists, like a pair of Colette Miller’s iconic wings.

Spend a day on Melrose Avenue shopping, eating and of course snapping lots and lots of pics!

The Pink Wall

Paul Smith, 8221 Melrose Avenue (at N Harper Avenue), West Hollywood

This wall is the loveliest bold shade of pink you’ve ever seen.

It’s not just the wall, though, it’s the whole Paul Smith building. Pink, from head to toe.

After snapping some shots on my real camera the security guard came over to point out the Pink Wall rules, no professional cameras, phones only. So out came our phones and we continued snapping away.

I figured a couple instax shots fit in the category of no professional cameras (right?!). Definitely my favorite Melrose Avenue photo shoot spot! Not to mention being one of the most iconic walls to take a picture in front of in Los Angeles.

HELLO

Directly across from the Pink Wall at Paul Smith is this ever-changing wall at the super cute coffee shop, Carrera Cafe.

When this picture was taken it had this simple HELLO painted on it, but has already been updated with a new mural.

What I love about the Melrose Ave art scene is that it’s always growing. Since the mural on this wall is always changing you never know what creative mural you will find next!

From locals to tourist how can you resist a shot under these giant letters?!

Angel Wings

Melrose Avenue, between Ogden and N Genesee Ave, West Hollywood

It is, after all, the City of Angels, so it’s no surprise we found some angel wings on the Avenue.

Part of the The Global Angel Wings Project by Colette Miller there are multiple locations through out LA where her wings can be found. I love spotting her wings through out the city.

My favorite set of Miller’s Angels Wings can be found at Angel Cit Brewery in the Arts District.

Angels Will Rise

It may seem abstract up close, but cross the street and this beautiful mural features three majestic eagles, with bursting brilliant blue halos, getting ready to take flight.

Marilyn Monroe

What’s Hollywood without Marilyn Monroe? Frozen in time with those signature red lips, who knows how long this street art will last?

That’s the nature of LA street art. It comes and sometimes it goes.

Melrose Avenue is definitely the Most Instagrammable Street in LA when it comes to street art and murals! I can’t wait to get back out there on the streets of LA exploring all the fabulous art that might be waiting for me, just around the corner.
