The Easiest DIY Seashell Candles You’ll Ever Make

31 Days of DIY Projects. Project Five: The Easiest DIY Seashell Candles You’ll Ever Make.

The Easiest DIY Seashell Candles You'll Ever Make

Today’s project is the Easiest DIY Seashell Candles you’ll ever make! And it’ll only cost you a few dollars. This year I started collecting seashells and sea glass everytime I go to the beach. It’s pretty rare to find whole shells on our coastline. Instead I’ve been collecting pieces of white shells. I find it soothing to wander and spot those pretty white pieces of shells contrasting the sandy shores.

The Dollar tree had bags of decorative shells in stock which are perfect for this project. I picked up a bag of seashells and a pack of tea light candles. If you live by the ocean and can find and collect them for free that’s even better! If you can’t find them at a the beach or dollar store, you can usually pick up a pack from your local craft store.

Materials Needed: Seashells, tealight candles (make sure you buy the ones that come in a tin casing as you’ll be melting the wax in them ), baking sheet, aluminum foil and pliers.

Step One: Preheat your oven to 250°F.

Step Two: Line baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Step Three: Place tealights on baking sheet and put in the oven.

Step Five: Using your pliers remove the wicks from the candles and place them in your shells.

Step Six: Use your pliers to pick up the tin and pour the melted wax into your seashells.
