DIY Copper Wire Heart Bracelet
31 Days of DIY Projects. Project Thirteen: DIY Copper Wire Heart Bracelet.
I grew up in a total crafting home! You name it we probably had the supplies to make it. If you love to craft you’ll probably relate to the concept that creating isn’t always about following a step by step set of instructions. Some things definitely require instructions. In fact instructions can be super helpful. Sometimes I research how to make things and other times I love the challenge of figuring it out for myself. How about you?
I’ve been sharing a lot of the behind the scenes of how I’ve been making my projects during this 31 Days of DIY Series. Are you on instagram? Getting the hang of Stories yet? Follow @myfairolinda for previews, behind the scene shots and the inside scoop!
This week I used my instagram story to show step by step how easy this DIY Copper Wire Heart Bracelet is to make!
Materials Needed to make a DIY Copper Wire Bracelet: Copper colored jewelry wire, needle nose pliers, nylon jaw pliers (optional), and wire cutters. You can also use a measuring tape if needed.
Step One: Cut a piece of wire twice the length of your bracelet with an extra inch to create the heart clasp. You can use a measuring tape and measure your wrist. Honestly, I just wrapped the wire around my wrist and eyeballed it.
Step Two: Bend your wire in half to create a double strand.
Step Three: The bend becomes the loop of your clasp.
Step Four: Use your pliers to bend the loop back to become one end of your clasp.
Step Five: Bend only one side of your double strand into a heart shape. Twist the extra wire around the strand.
Step Six: Take the other wire strand and coil it around the end of your heart to enclose it.
Step Seven: Your heart completes the other end of your clasp!
DIY Copper Wire Heart Bracelet completed!
Happy DIYing!
