Sweet DIY Valentines Cards

Do you have plans for Valentine’s or will you be celebrating Galentine’s? For some Valentine’s means red roses and romantic evening plans while others will be gathering together to celebrate friendships.

There are so many wonderful ways to celebrate the day and all the people you love. Personally, I love sending and receiving happy mail in the form of sweet love notes and heart themed packages! This year I’m all about the hand made Valentine’s Day cards.

You are going to love these four fun DIY card ideas you can easily make for this Valentine’s Day. From googley eyes, sparkly heart stickers, toy race cars and birthday candles you’ll only need a few simple supplies to make these cards.

I bought a basic pack of brown craft cards, valentine’s stickers, and pulled out craft supplies already on hand. All four cards were inspired by cards I found on Pinterest with my own little twists!

4 Sweet DIY Valentines Cards

I Only Have Eyes For You

This card is such a fun play on words. To make this “I Only Have Eyes For You” card you’ll need a basic brown craft card, a pack of googley eyes, a pencil, a regular black sharpie and a glue gun and glue sticks.

I traced my words out with a pencil before writing them in black, writing “I Ony Have” on the top of the card and “For You” on the bottom. For the googley eyes I used a glue gun and peppered them in as I went across the middle of the card.

I Love You Jar

For this card you’ll need a pencil, fine sharpie and sheet of heart stickers with a variety of sizes.

Sketch out a jar in the top corner of your card and then use your fine point sharpie to finalize your jar. Write I LOVE YOU with your letters “falling” from the jar.

Add your heart stickers to the jar and falling out alongside your letters. On the inside of the card write your own personal message. I wrote “with all my” and added heart stickers.

You Make My Heart… Race

You’ll need a pencil, marker and toy race car for this card. On the outside of the card write: “You Make My Heart” and glue the race car underneath. In the inside write “RACE.” If you’ve been together for a while you can add “Still” to “You Make My Heart” Take your card one step further and draw a little race path on the inside.

You Blow Me Away

Sweet DIY Valentines Cards

To make this “You Blow Me Away” card you’ll need a basic brown craft card, some birthday candles, a thin black sharpie and a glue gun and glue sticks. Sketch out your letters with you pencil before filling in with your fine sharpie.

Use your glue gun to draw a thin line of glue and then place your birthday candle on top of it. Don’t glue directly onto the candle as you will just melt it. Which I learned the hard way!
